Structural and seismic evaluation for the Citi Group headquarters in Hungary. A survey was carried out on the building site and an analysis of some of the structural systems was carried out based on the plans and calculation report provided. The objective corresponds to verifying the conformity of the structure with the Eurocodes and their corresponding annexes. Additionally, a rapid visual evaluation of the seismic risk called RVS (Rapid Visual Screening) was carried out according to FEMA P-154.
The RVS procedure uses a methodology based on a survey of the sidewalks of a building and a Data Collection Form, which the person carrying out the survey completes, based on visual observation of the building from the outside and, if possible, from inside. Based on the data collected during the study, a score is calculated that provides an indication of the expected seismic behavior of the building and whether it is recommended to carry out more detailed studies to validate results and/or recommend risk mitigation measures.
