The project is part of the engineering development of a combined cycle power plant managed by the South Jamaica Power Company.
The scope of work includes:
Design of a pipe support structure (Piperack) and a deep foundation system.
Study of the foundation-soil-structure interaction.
Control of displacements below the stipulated limits in the event of seismic stress to avoid collisions with other facilities.

The piles were analyzed against lateral loads with the LPile software through the p-y method, determining the forces and deflections.
The soil-foundation interaction effects were considered and it was verified that the displacements induced in the superstructure were below the specified limit tolerance.
Finite element models were made to design the pile caps.
