Structural and seismic evaluation of unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings through nonlinear analysis.

Development of a nonlinear URM component with OpenSees (based on experimental data) capable of capturing plastic deformations through its nonlinear hysteretic constitutive properties.​ Established an analytical nonlinear modeling procedure to evaluate damage of buildings under performance-based seismic approach for URM (ASCE 41) and loss through the FEMA P-58 methodology. 

Developed retrofitting alternatives considering technical-economic feasibility.​
